About Xamuel.com

Xamuel.com was initially launched late in 2007, hosted for free at Blogspot. The original name of the blog was Glowing Face Man. In 2009, I finally switched to professional hosting, giving me the increased flexibility I needed to begin work on side projects such as The Connections Project and The Aethar Project. In 2010, the name changed to Xamuel.com. The primary core of Xamuel.com is still the huge, ever-growing, timeless archive of high-quality articles.

Meet The Author

Sam Alexander

My name is Samuel Alexander. I’m 26 years old and in my third year as a PhD student in mathematical logic at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. My life has never been “normal”, and for much of it, I was ashamed of my quirks. But now I’ve realized that nobody really is normal, and by being a little less normal than usual, that just gives me a whole lot more interesting stuff to contribute to the conversation. Divergence from the norm began early in my childhood. Born in Flagstaff, Arizona, I was raised in a radical fundamentalist Christian family. The family was relatively poor. Things like television and video games were banned. Despite all this, I always knew my parents loved me a lot; they were just doing the best they could with their own knowledge and resources. When I came of school age (now in California), I joined my older brother in being homeschooled by our parents. This would continue until 6th grade, when I finally spent a few years in public school. My interests in my youth were very unusual. Computer programming, psychic powers, hypnosis, and calculus. After 9th grade at a crazy private Christian high school, I dropped out of school and started playing online games every waking moment of every day (though, on paper, I was back in homeschool). Nevertheless, I managed to get my hands on some self-development material (at a time when this stuff was not popular at all), and so I had very high self-esteem and such. At 18, I joined the U.S. Air Force as a weather forecaster. I wouldn’t stay in long, though. It wasn’t for me; after finishing boot camp and tech school, my passion for mathematics flared up again and I escaped the military to go to the University of Arizona. In two years I graduated with a 4.0 in mathematics, and from there I went to Ohio State University, where I am now. Of my time in university, several years were spent homeless by choice, living in campus buildings. I became a pickup artist, and for a brief overlapping period, I was the world’s premier homeless pickup artist. I spontaneously decided to spend a month in Japan, travelling there with only four days reserved in advance and nothing but a backpack full of stuff. And, eventually I even launched this website. Now I’ve written over 200 high-quality articles, all available absolutely free for all to enjoy and learn from.
