Nice article on Spaced repetition.
First, Hensig sucks. www.netpocalypse.net uses visualization, animation, and poems to cement things together. Frankly, Japanese pod is doing better than Hensig also... same idea, more than one sense, connecting things better, etc.

Second, look at the pictures

It's the same as the decks of flashcards but THEY know how their piles interact with each other and rosetta, anki, etc. do NOT.
So, you do the analysis you would do for moving drug from one pile to another on how memory moves a card from one deck to another, you get a perfect memory system.
